Picknett and Prince investigate the Priory of Sion, the secretive French organisation made famous by claims that it guards hidden knowledge concerning Jesus, Mary Magdalene and a sacred bloodline. They trace the modern history of the Priory, examine the people and organisations associated with it, and explore alleged connections with occult groups, intelligence services and political networks. The authors attempt to distinguish documented events from deliberate misinformation and elaborate conspiracy stories, while advancing controversial interpretations of their own.
