This 2004 issue of Häuser presents an international selection of distinctive houses, renovations, interiors and gardens. “Once in a Lifetime” follows the renovation of a country house in Gascony, while “Do-it-yourself Dreams” examines an individual conversion project in the Italian Marche. “Shacking up à la Provençale” shows how two old structures were transformed into a simple holiday home, and “Recycling de Luxe” presents disused containers converted into an attractive Los Angeles residence.
