Telefonica diagonal zerozero tower. Shaping the city's new skyline
Article number 10159691
Issue 65 of News Figueras, an illustrated publication devoted to international architecture, auditorium design and specialized seating projects. The principal feature presents the Telefónica Diagonal ZeroZero Tower in Barcelona, designed by Enric Massip-Bosch and EMBA_Estudi Massip-Bosch Arquitectes. The 110-metre, 26-storey tower, located at the end of Avinguda Diagonal in the Zona Forum, was conceived as a new landmark on Barcelona's skyline and as Telefónica's corporate headquarters in Catalonia. Particular attention is given to the building's architecture, white screen-printed glass façade and multifunctional auditorium, including the specially developed ZeroZero seating by Figueras. The publication also features Richard Coulson and the refurbishment of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane, as well as shorter presentations of the Pedro Pascual Science Centre in Benasque, Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv and Barcelona's El Molino theatre. The issue combines architecture, interior design, auditorium planning and innovative seating solutions, making it useful documentation on contemporary public and corporate architecture and the work of Figueras.
