Minty Mehta, known as MM, is a reckless journalist and magazine editor filming a documentary about the Indian Army and its conflict with Pakistan. His access to military circles draws him into a dangerous world of drugs, weapons and corruption when officers acquire valuable military hardware and a large consignment of heroin. MM attempts an elaborate multiple-cross involving the Army, the Indian Secret Service, Sikhs and Azerbaijanis, while his affair with his boss’s daughter further complicates matters. What begins as adventurous investigative journalism develops into an increasingly dangerous struggle in which alliances and betrayals become difficult to distinguish.
