Hazina: Traditions, Trade and Transitions in Eastern Africa accompanied the opening of a collaborative exhibition by the National Museums of Kenya and the British Museum, presenting material evidence of the richness, diversity and resilience of East African cultures shaped over time through contacts and exchange; through illustrated case studies and essays it interprets objects in new ways—linking traditions, trade routes and social change—to highlight the cultural and aesthetic values of collections and the shifting meanings of heritage across the region.
