He has most recently been associated with Columbia University in New York, and Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts. LEONARD EVERETT FISHER received his Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees at the Yale Art School. He has been awarded the Weir Prize, the Winchester Fellowship, and the Pulitzer Art Prize. Among the books he has illustrated are The First Book of the American Revolution, and The First Book of New England.
