The peripheral nervous system
Numéro d'article 10125402
Preface This text grew out of the need for a simple yet comprehensive introduction to the study of the peripheral nervous system. It contains the written report of a series of lectures on the anatomy, physiology and clinical aspects of the peripheral nerves, given to medical and physical therapy students during a number of years in Amsterdam. All illustrations were especially designed for this text and they are represented not only to clarify but also to amplify the text. The book is designed not only to meet the needs of basic courses in neuroanatomy but it also can serve as a review for general practitioners and neurologists. Therefore this book will be of value to: medical and dental students, physical therapists, general practitioners, neurologists. The text is divided into three main sections: Spinal nerves, Cranial nerves and a Compendium. To each of the sections a large four-color chart is added, which may serve as a wall chart. For the sake of smoother reading all bibliographical references have been omitted from the text. At the end of the book a selected bibliography is placed. In these references the reader will find all pertinent literature. The new anatomical nomenclature (Nomina Anatomica, Paris, 1957 – New York, 1961) has been used. With 84 Illustrations, 3 Tables And 3 Full-Color Wall Charts
