The Way of Cartouche by Murry Hope is an illustrated guide and oracle system inspired by the magic and symbolism of ancient Egypt. First published in 1985 by St. Martin’s Press, the book was created to accompany a deck of "Cartouche" oracle cards, though it also functions as a standalone work. Developed in the early 1980s in collaboration with artist Martin Jones, the Cartouche system draws on hieroglyphic symbols and spiritual energies found in Egyptian temples. Originally released in 1983 by Ostaris Publications and later reissued by St. Martin’s Press, the deck gained popularity throughout the decade as a compact and accessible divination tool.
